Get Organized with Digital Planning
You want to use your ipad to organize your life – awesome! Today we’re talking about how to use a planner on your ipad.
Your iPad comes with a few preloaded apps that are helpful for planning. You can save your thoughts in Notes. Make to-do lists in Reminders. Add appointments in the Calendar.
Each of these apps is helpful, but none of them are an all-in-one planner. To get real planning – or journaling – done, it’s helpful to use an app designed to meet all your planning needs.
Zinnia: The Best Digital Journal & Planner
Today we’re going to talk about how to use the Zinnia App for iPad planning. Whether you are a bullet journal planner, an art journaler, or somewhere in between, Zinnia has the tools and digital artwork you need to create a personalized planner that meets your needs.
If you’re into bujo, Zinnia has trackers, lists, and, well, a lot of options for you. We recommend starting with a full journal to give you a little structure while you get started.
If you’re into bullet journaling, try starting with the Functional Planner. It starts with 8 pages that include weekly and monthly goals. You’ve got water, steps, sleep, and mood tracker options. And a social media tracker – if you’re counting followers, assign each shape to a number and fill it out when you hit that number. If you don’t need that tracker, delete it and grab one that makes more sense for you.
The Intention Planner is another great place to start. It has checklists, a health planner, a weekly meal plan, and a budget keeper. Again, you can delete or decorate as desired.
For a little more fun, try the Creative planner. Fill it out with colors, images, and whatever interesting things you find in the Studio.
Personalize your Digital Planner
But really, Zinnia is all about what makes sense for your life. If you want to start from scratch, just pull up a blank page and go from there. Grab a calendar template, bring up a tracker, or start making a list. The Collections section in the Studio makes it easy to coordinate colors and styles to give your week a cohesive look. Play around until you make a spread that feels like you — and one that you’ll actually use! Are you into cats? Stick a cat on it! Do you like things a little darker? Check out the Edgy collection.
Zinnia has a lot going on – you can import pictures or pdfs, you can sketch and doodle from scratch – and so much more. The best way to learn its tools is to dive in and explore.
Download it free on the app store today! journaling!
